About
Dr Amit Sarwal is presently Assistant Professor (Ad hoc) in the Department of English, Rajdhani College (University of Delhi) and Convenor, Australia-India Interdisciplinary Research Network, New Delhi, India. He was also an Honorary Visiting Scholar (2006-2007) at National Centre for Australian Studies and School of Political Science and Inquiry, Monash University as an Endeavour Asia Award winner. He has a PhD in South Asian Diaspora Literature in Australia from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. His areas of interest include South Asian Diaspora Literature, Australian Literature and Popular Fiction on which he has published. He has co-edited English Studies, Indian Perspectives (2006) with Makarand Paranjape and Aneeta Rajendran; Australian Studies Now: An Introductory Reader (2007) with Andrew Hassam; Fact & Fiction: Readings in Australian Literature (2008); Creative Nation: Australian Cinema and Cultural Studies Reader (2009) and Reading Down Under: Australian Literary Studies Reader (2009) with Reema Sarwal; Australian Made: A Multicultural Reader (2010) with Sonia Mycak; Exploring Science Fiction: Text and Pedagogy (2011) with Geetha B. and Sold by the Millions: Australia’s Bestsellers (2012) with Toni Johnson-Woods.
